The Minquiers Moderne is a trimmer cut of the original Saint James mariniere, shaped to sit closer without losing the ease that has made this shirt last 170 years. The same quality cotton jersey, knitted in France, in the same Normandy workshop that has been producing this garment since 1850.

According to old Breton lore, the 21 stripes correspond to each of Napoleon's naval victories. Whether that is history or legend, the stripes have not changed.

We carry Saint James because some things have already been figured out. A shirt that has dressed fishermen, navy sailors, artists and everyone in between for 170 years does not need to be improved.
