The Shoda Organic Shoyu is made from only three ingredients - organic whole soy beans, organic wheat and sea salt. Fermented for several weeks, this soy develops a complex flavour that is refined and balanced. Just the right amount of saltiness with back notes of sweetness and light hints of citrus gives this shoyu a strong umami whilst maintaining a light ferment. This well balanced all rounder means it can be used for sashimi, steamed dishes, stir fries and braising.
Founded in 1873 during the Meji Era, Shoda is one of the oldest soy sauce manufacturer in Japan and has grown into a leader in the premium soy market.
