The 001 is where Footage Made began. The first cut we developed, built around three things that were missing from every shirt we could find at the time.

The collar. When oversized collars were everywhere, we went the other way — a 2 inch small collar with a hidden hold-down button that keeps the points in place whether worn open or with a tie. No gap, no lift, no collar that moves around by the end of the day.

The fit. Not slim, not boxy. The space between the two that works with tailored trousers, chinos and denim without needing to be tucked differently for each.

The fabric. Japanese cotton, woven in a sky blue base with burgundy, salmon, navy and brown stripes crossing to form a grid. Japan has been producing some of the world's finest shirting cotton for over a century — the hand, the drape and the way it holds colour through repeated wear are the reasons this fabric was chosen over anything else.

Footage Made is our in-house ready-to-wear line. Tailored in small batches, built to solve specific problems of fit, fabric and function for the way people dress.

Footage Made grew out of twenty years of buying the best of what the world makes. Two decades of sourcing from heritage houses and emerging designers, understanding what separates a considered garment from a convenient one, and developing an eye for the details that determine how something wears over time.

After that long studying premium craft across labels and categories, making our own was the natural next step. Each piece begins with a problem worth solving — fit, fabric, function — developed for the way people actually dress in our part of the world, where seasons run long and the divide between formal and casual has always been narrow.

The work is tailored in small batches by design. Sustainable by practice, considered by necessity. Applying the principles of tailoring to ready-to-wear means fewer compromises on fit and construction, at a price point that reflects the work without the margin of a larger label.
