Footage was featured by Concrete Playground in 2021 during the store’s evolution into a broader lifestyle and cultural retail concept within Darlinghurst, Sydney.

Established in 2003, Footage began as a concept sneaker store before gradually expanding into apparel, objects, grooming, homewares and independently sourced goods. Over time, the store evolved into a broader multidisciplinary retail environment that would later inform the direction of Eastern Hill General Supplies.

Concrete Playground described the store as “incredibly difficult to categorise”, highlighting its mix of fashion, homewares, tea, gifts and independently produced goods alongside its long standing connection to Darlinghurst’s independent retail culture.

The feature also documented Footage’s involvement with local makers, producers and community focused events developed in partnership with the City of Sydney.
