Artificer Coffee for Eastern Hill General Supplies Blend

The Artificer Coffee for Eastern Hill General Supplies seasonal blend is a great all-rounder for lovers of black and white coffees. This blend starts of with the soft acidic and floral aroma of red plums, black cherries and blossom before the inviting sweet notes of chocolate leads onto the lingering, savoury warm notes of hazelnuts and the malty tones of burnt butter. A light to mid roast, you're greeted with the savoury warmth of hazelnuts and along with delicate floral notes. This blend has light to mid levels of acidity and a nice toasty creaminess that coats the mouth. The acidity is lingering before a gentle sweetness comes through. When drunk as a milk coffee, the chocolate and buttery notes are at the fore with a sweetness that lingers.

Our love affair with Artificer began some 9 years ago when Footage turned 11. A close friend of the shop, Dan popped into the store for a chat to update us on life's endeavours. He was about to embark on a specialty coffee bar and roastery project with his good mate Shoji Sasa and they were facing a couple of pre-open delays. We thought it'd be a great pre-launch idea for Dan and Shoji to do an artificer pop up weekend to commemorate Footage's 11th birthday in 2014.

10 years on, the good humans at Artificer Coffee have roasted a seasonal blend to mark out 20th year in business. With a focus on beans with traceability, the duo use green coffees at their peak.

The blend consists of:
60% Colombia Matambo AA Caturra, Typica Varieties

40% Nicaragua Los Grandillos
