Tonka started in a jar of pink peppercorns. Beneath the heat, Laboratory Perfumes found something unexpected: a finely balanced floral fruitiness from the dried berries of the Peruvian pepper tree. That discovery became the spine of their fourth fragrance.

In the lab, pink peppercorn was paired with the zing of mandarin and deepened with warm woodland aromatics. The tonka bean anchors it -- its vanilla-tobacco earthiness pulling the whole composition into something complex and cleanly elegant.
