The Rice Rice Baby Tee references the neighbourhood Chinese restaurants that shaped suburban Australia from the 1970s onwards. Places of bright neon lights, plastic tablecloths and reliable favourites like honey king prawn, chow mein, mongolian lamb, sweet and sour pork and fried rice ruled the table, where families gathered at the end of the week.

Printed in red on a white cotton base, the graphic draws from the familiar red and white menus, tapestry and signs found across these dining rooms.
