Marukyu Koyamaen’s Miyako no Yuki Genmaicha is a traditional blend of steamed sencha and roasted brown rice from Kyoto, Japan. The sencha brings freshness, light vegetal sweetness and gentle umami, while the roasted rice adds warmth, depth and a comforting toasted aroma reminiscent of roasted barley and puffed grain.

Balanced and easy drinking, Miyako no Yuki has a smooth savoury profile with very low bitterness, making it well suited for everyday drinking across meals and throughout the day. The combination of green tea freshness and roasted grain character creates a tea that is both refreshing and satisfying.

Often enjoyed alongside richer dishes, grilled foods and Japanese home cooking, genmaicha is valued for its palate cleansing quality and soft, warming finish. Served hot, it is comforting and rounded. Served cold, it becomes clean, nutty and highly refreshing.
