Scott Morrison has been leading the industry in designer denim for more than a decade. As the founder of both Earnest Sewn and Paper Denim & Cloth, Scott started 3×1 in 2011. The 3×1 name is derived from denim’s standard weaving construction, the ’3×1 Right Hand Twill’ and also represents Morrison’s third concept/founding of a jeans brand. At the brand’s New York flagship store in Soho, 3×1’s production is limited to between 8-24 pieces of any given style, and less than 25 pieces are made per day (sewn on site in the factory which is completely exposed behind glass). The transparency and dedication to responsible production is inspiring.
