The history of GUÉRANDE dates as far back as the iron age. Le Guérandais is a co-operative started by salt marsh workers in the 1980s with the desire to elevate Guérande salt to its leading position in French salt production. They apply the know-how dating as far back as two thousand years in the harvesting and collection of fleur de sel from some of the oldest salt works in operation.
