The story of McIntyre dates back to 1846 when Duncan McIntyre came to Australia and established his home and merino sheep breeding enterprise on the estate he named Glenoe. McIntyre co-founder Ned Scholfield is a 5th generation descendant of Duncan McIntyre, born and raised on Glenoe. Ned and his wife Raquel Boedo founded the brand in 2016 to pay homage to his family's history with the goal of introducing a new generation to the joys of  quality Australian merino wool knitwear that is both timeless and enviromentally sustainable.
