Pommery Mustard is a smooth, slightly nutty mustard from Meaux, that has been served at the tables of French kings and much appreciated by royal tables for decades. In 1760, a dignitary of the old Chapter of Meaux transmitted to J.B Pommery the recipe from the famous preparation of the canons, which prompted the continuation of the quality mustard that we all enjoy today. The recipe is a fiercely guarded secret (passing from the Pommery to Chamois family) and has kept Moutarde de Meaux® Pommery® relatively unchanged, through the centuries, adding to its reputation for unsurpassed quality and excellence.
