French chocolatier Valrhona has been providing exceptional quality chocolate since 1922. Based in the small town of Tain-l'Hermitage, a wine growing district near Lyon, Valhrona is one of the leading producers of gastronomic chocolate in the world.

In the pursuit of flavour, Valrhona works directly with cocoa planters around the world. The beans are allowed to naturally ferment and dry in order for the cocoa flavour precursors to be released before they are sent to Tain-l'Hermitage to be roasted according to the desired recipe and bean's origin.
